Any additional data has to download onto your SD card. Immediately following your selection, any offline music files you had saved on your internal storage will be transferred to the external card. Go to Google Play Music's settings, then under Downloading, tap on "Storage location." Choose the external card as your new storage location. It will move any movies that you have already downloaded to the SD card (please give it time to finish, files can be huge) and will store any future downloads there.
